Description:

Providing meaning and effective firearms training, culminating in the safe and successful completion of the certification process is the goal of this course.
With 15 hours of mandated instruction, New Mexico is one of the most stringent “Shall Issue” states. This stringency equates to a better prepared citizen for the solemn duty of carrying a concealed firearm.
The course places emphasis on the state laws governing concealed carry. Of equal importance are the segments devoted to safe gun handling, conflict avoidance, and understanding the prevailing laws covering self-defense.
Rental firearms for you to use during the qualification are available at an additional fee. If you choose to utilize our rental firearms you will be required to use ammunition purchased from MAGS.

This class meets all requirements for the Missouri concealed carry permit. It also touches on the practical aspects of concealed carry, carry methods and the realities of a defensive shooting situation. Missouri mandates a minimum of eight (8) hours training.

This class is designed for someone who desires to carry a concealed weapon in the state of South Carolina and its reciprocal states. Our team of Certified Instructors will cover all aspects of the state mandated course. The course will consist of approximately seven hours of required classroom instruction. A 50 question written multiple-choice exam will be given at the end of the class and a 50 round qualification course will be conducted in the range. After successful completion, all required documents will be prepared and sent to the South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division. This South Carolina approved permit course is for all South Carolina citizens who want or need to carry a concealed handgun for their personal or family's safety. In this course, you will learn parts and operation of the handgun, proper and safe storage of a handgun, and techniques for the improving the skills needed for accurate shot placement. Also there will be instructions on the laws and the obligations of the concealed weapon permit carrier. Upon completion of this course you may apply to the State of South Carolina for a concealed weapon permit. You must be 21 years of age to enroll in this course.

Information on the statutory and case law of South Carolina relating to handguns and to the use of lethal and deadly force.

Information on handgun use and safe gun handling skills.

Proper storage practice for handguns with an emphasis on storage practices that reduces the possibility of accidental injury to a child.

The actual firing of the handgun in the presence of the instructor along with safe handling of the firearm including loading, unloading and accurate shot placement.

Legal provisions of prohibited carry locations as a SC CWP permit holder.

Guidance on the proper selection of a concealed handgun and carry options.

South Carolina requires all residents who wish to carry a concealed weapon to participate in this class with state certified instructors. Many neighboring residents of Georgia have taken this class due to the importance of the skills and knowledge gained during the program.
You are concerned about safety and you shop around for the right hand gun and caliber for your needs. You find what you think you will need and buy it. You may read about using a handgun, but most people think that they know the basics from what they have heard, so they don’t bother. Then the time comes that you need to use that new gun for defense. What do you do? Is it loaded? Where is it? Will pointing and pulling the trigger be enough? Is the adrenaline in your body adding to your confusion since you have never fired the gun, or even practiced with it?

This is the reason that this class is so popular with out of state shooters. You learn common-sense rules and valuable gun safety in a relaxed but safe atmosphere. The course incorporates many of the NRA marksmanship programs.

EACH STUDENT WILL BE REQUIRED TO BRING THE FIREARM (12’’ OR LESS ACROSS ITS DIAGONAL) HE OR SHE WILL BE USING TO QUALIFY, OR RENT ONE FROM OUR SELECTION OF OVER 125 HANDGUNS. ALSO REQUIRED, 50 ROUNDS OF AMMUNITION. YOU CAN PURCHASE ALL OF YOUR SUPPLIES AT THE RANGE.

To qualify attendees for a S.C. Concealed Weapons Permit (CWP). The course covers the legal aspects of carrying a firearm and the laws governing the use of lethal force, as well as safety, firearms and ammunition options.

If needed, a firearm, holster and eye and ear protection can be provided free of charge for course use. Ammunition is also available for purchase (use of City Arsenal firearms requires the purchase of in-store ammunition).
