Night vision equipment provides a superior advantage during nighttime engagements. This course is a combination of classroom and range training. In the class we will cover Night vision science, image intensification vs. thermal vision, night vision optic anatomy, as well as proper mounting & operation.
In the range we will practice Moving and navigating with night vision, Static shooting from different positions utilizing IR devices and red dot optics, total darkness bolt lock & tactical reloads, total darkness malfunction drills, total darkness barricade & bilateral shooting, total darkness target to target transitions, as well as total darkness rifle to pistol transitions.
Must have:
Carbine length rifle with serviceable night vision compatible red dot optic
Serviceable night vision device
IR laser pointer / illuminator mounted on the carbine
Serviceable handgun
3 Rifle magazines
3 pistol magazines
250 rounds of ammunition (no steel core)

Our facility has 3 different ranges each with five separate shooting lanes. Two at 80 feet and one at 55 feet. Range 3 is our dedicated tactical range with cover and concealment, self-healing dummies, and the computerized meggitt system. This system allows for shoot/don't shoot scenarios, programmable distance, attacking and retreating targets, and other training simulations built directly into the carrier. The air filtration system is state of the art and designed by Carey's Small Arms Range Ventilation. EPA certified and run by two separate systems make it clean, lead safe, and a smokeless place to shoot.
built by Range Systems, an industry-leader in range construction and development. having three separate ranges allows us to use them for different events and training courses simultaneously. Each range is outfitted with 2 inches of ballistic and acoustic tiles, along with 3/8" armor plated steel. The granular rubber trap is over 3 feet deep at a shooting angle preventing ricochets and fragmentation. A Range Safety Officer is always present with shooters.
