Description:
To qualify attendees for a S.C. Concealed Weapons Permit (CWP). The course covers the legal aspects of carrying a firearm and the laws governing the use of lethal force, as well as safety, firearms and ammunition options.
Must have:
Handgun with at least 50 rounds of ammunition, eye and ear protection, belt holster and a valid South Carolina Driver License with current address on front. If needed, a firearm, holster and eye and ear protection can be provided free of charge for course use. Ammunition is also available for purchase (use of City Arsenal firearms requires the purchase of in-store ammunition).

A state-mandated class session followed by a written and shooting test. City Arsenal handles fingerprinting and the mailing of completed applications.
The cost of this class is all-inclusive and covers all expenses, including a $50 state fee, fingerprinting and certified letter to mail the application to SLED.
