In this course shooters will learn about the carbine platform and how to properly manipulate and employ their weapon system. Within this course individuals will learn immediate action skills, what hold over is and how it affects shot placement, moving to engage a target and shooting on the move, how to address threats from both sides and behind the individual, moving to engage a threat from covered positions as well as how to respond to a threat when attacked.

Description:

This course uses scenario based training and weapons firing marking cartridges against live targets. This is Force-on-Force training, a realistic approach to working complex problems under stress. Decision-making, special reasoning and problem solving techniques are emphasized throughout this class. Force-on-Force training tools, including holsters and magazine pouches are provided by the Defender Training Academy for use during this class.

When things go bump in the night, or when you come home and your door has been broken open, what are you going to do? If you make the decision to enter that area you need to prepare yourself in the dynamics of dealing with doorways and corners. Even more important is how to maintain security when you are doing this all alone.

Low Light Pistol Operator course is designed to cover the essentials of light equipment selection, weapon-mounted or hand-held light sources, and provide practical techniques for effective employment, target identification and engagement of potential threats in either low light or no light situations.

This 8-hour course will Cover Conceal Carry Tactics in a way that it has never been taught. We will discuss and demonstrate the various techniques of conceal carry with different garments and its pros & cons. It’s important that the student understand the tactics involved with carrying a weapon concealed as well as the Law Enforcement encounter when a Deadly Force encounter occurs. CCT is for the individual who carries a concealed handgun and wants to transform to the next level.
