This course is designed to give the Shooter a basic understanding in addition to teaching the student to learn how to incorporate the AR-15 platform in conjunction with a home defense plan through simple drills and practice. This is an intro course; the goal isn’t to train you for combat or competition. Our goal is to provide the student with the information and skills needed to work the AR-15 platform.
This is the only “optional” AR-15 course. The 201, 301, & 400 level classes must be taken in sequence as they require skills based in the 101 & 201 level classes.

Interested in working one-on-one with Jeff Gonzales. This 1-hour Private Instruction session is excellent for first time shooters who may never have fired a firearm, the LTC applicant looking to prepare for their shooting qualification or experienced shooters wanting specific skill set improvement. Jeff will help identify what you are doing well, where you could improve and how to sustain your skills. The overall objective is to improve your shooting knowledge, skills and ability. Each session is semi-customized then further refined for your shooting skills.

Subjects can include safety, marksmanship, firearms handling, firearm selection, firearm maintenance, equipment selection and concealed carry to name a few. Safe, friendly and encouraging these sessions are excellent for all skill levels. Firearm rental or ammunition purchase not included.

Attendance Policy: Once registered, if unable to attend class you may transfer to another class similar to the original. Our Dynamic Pistol course is designed to introduce shooters to the fundamental skills necessary to shoot effectively while on the move. This course will focus on individual body mechanics in order to help students develop the skills necessary to exit that flat range mindset and transition to dynamic movement!

This course will incorporate proper footwork in lateral and linear techniques as well as transitions, pivots, and turns.

Students will engage both paper and steel targets from critical distance (3yds) to 25yds and beyond from Standing, Kneeling, and Moving positions.

Our Rifle Alternative Shooting Positions course is designed to give shooters problem solving options. The reality is that the world we live in is not clean cut. Angles are odd and nothing seems to go as planned under stress. This course will instruct students on the various alternative shooting positions and the PROS and CONS of each enabling them to determine which may or may not work for them or the situation at hand. Stability and Accuracy through bone on bone support are stressed in various positions. Come out and learn a position that may save your life!

This class is designed for beginning shooters who wish to sharpen their skills and practice on a private shooting range with a skilled instructor. If you have been waiting to take the LTC class because you are unsure of your pistol shooting skills this is the class for you. It is strongly suggested to take this class before your LTC class if you have never shot a gun before or are not a regular shooter. This class is also perfect if you simply wish to learn more about firearm safety and properly using your handgun. Learn how to properly handle a handgun, firearm safety and get the experience and confidence you need through range time and detailed instruction.
