LTC classes begin at 8:00 am. You will begin with your range qualification, followed by the class (with breaks) and end with the DPS written test.Range Qualifications for Texas LTC
A total of 50 rounds are fired during the qualification test. A score of 70% or 175 points out of a possible 250 points, is required to pass.
The target is a B-27, which is a human-shaped target, measuring 45 by 24 inches.
All shooting is from the ready position, which means the gun is already in your hands and aimed at the target. No drawing from the holster is required.
You must preregister and pay the class fee in order to reserve your seat in a class. You can do this by calling either location or by stopping in.
