Arena Gun Club offers the required course to obtain the Texas LTC which is approximately 4-6 hours long and is broken up into 2 parts: classroom and range.

Shooting portion requirements:
Eye and ear protection
Firearm .22 caliber or higher (if you do not have your own firearm you can rent one with us)
1 box of ammunition (50 rounds)
You will be shooting a silhouette at 3, 7, and 15 yards
Upon completion of the LTC class, you will receive a Form LTC-100 which you will scan and send as part of your online application.

Description:

License to Carry will go over all the Texas State laws (Open Carry Laws) that surround your ability to carry a handgun. High Caliber’s LTC course includes the opportunity for each participant to complete the firearms qualification the same day as the course. Inexperienced shooters or new shooters are encouraged to participate in private lessons prior to the class.

This class has been developed to meet the standard requirements established in the Florida Statute 790.06(2)(h) for a license to carry a concealed weapon or firearm.

Note: This is not a first time shooters class. Prior experience with your firearm is required. A necessary step in obtaining a concealed weapons permit is owning and being proficient with your firearm prior to taking this class.

The class costs $50.00 (Includes gun & ammunition used during range portion, certificate for completing class, and application).
No appointment is required to attend our classes. All we ask is that you show up five or ten minutes before the class is scheduled to start.
In order to get your certificate you only need to attend one three hour Course.
All you need to bring with you is a form of Government issued ID (examples: Driver’s License, Passport, Florida Identification Card, etc.) and a form of payment. We accept credit, debit, cash, or gift certificate for our classes.

Persons applying for a FL CWP must be at least 21 years of age and have completed training through an NRA certified instructor. Honorably discharged veterans should submit a copy of their DD-214 form with their application. The state of Florida does not permit Open Carry.

Description:

We offer classes for first time and renewal applications, for residents and non-residents. Our class and instructors meet all the requirements of the Nevada Sheriff's and Chief's Association to apply for a CCW permit.

All classroom and shooting qualifications are done in our comfortable, climate-controlled facility.

Upon successfully completing our class, you will receive a Certificate of Completion that you must take to your county Sheriff (if a Nevada resident) or the Washoe County Sheriff's Office* if you are a non-resident.

Our Certificate of Completion can be submitted to the Sheriff up to one year from the date the class was taken. The CCW application fee will be collected by the Sheriff at time of application.

Once you receive your permit, you are eligible to carry any handgun concealed until the expiration date as noted on your permit. (Permits are good for 5 years.)

Description:

This 3-hour class meets the requirements necessary for students to obtain their Florida Concealed Carry License. It consists primarily of classroom lecture that covers license protocols, general do’s and don’ts, legal issues, use of force laws, basic firearm safety and a review of basic marksmanship. The class concludes with a live-fire exercise where students demonstrate safe shooting skills. Students are provided all necessary license application forms and certificates upon successful completion. Each class is taught by experienced instructors with multiple certifications (NRA, CJSTC, etc.). Florida charges separate processing fees to obtain license.

Florida Firearms Academy’s Concealed Weapon Permit (CWP) Course is for beginner or advanced shooters who are looking to obtain their concealed weapons permit. We ask that anybody who takes this class has already taken some Basic instruction on how to safely handle and discharge a firearm. We will not teach you how to shoot a firearm during this class. This class is designed to give the student a brief on the applicable firearms laws pertaining to owning, carrying, and using Deadly Force. We will review how to apply for your permit, laws such as the places where one is not allowed to carry a firearm, how to transport firearms in a vehicle, our rights as gun owners, Use of Force Laws such as Stand Your Ground and the Castle Doctrine, what the “Warning Shot Law” really is, and when you are allowed to use Deadly Force. We will spend 2.5 – 3 hours in the classroom. This is NOT a “check the box” class. We are offering quality training, taught by instructors who have dedicated their time, checked the facts, consulted attorneys, and are concerned for your safety and well-being.

You do not have to own a handgun to take this class; the price includes the use of a rental firearm, safety equipment, and targets. The student will be responsible for ammunition used during the class. If you do own a handgun, you are encouraged to bring it to class and receive this training with your own firearm.

Shoot Straight offers a Concealed Weapon or Firearm License Course, designed to prepare and provide participants with everything they’ll need to qualify, and apply for the States CWFL license requirements. This Course is offered at convenient locations, by accredited instructors, in a clean and safe environment. All Shoot Straight stores have range facilities and a full complement of safety equipment, making it easy to fulfill the State requirement for competency with a handgun.

Regardless of your skill or experience level prior to attending this 3.5 hour course, you’ll leave with a firm understanding of the laws and regulations governing the use of firearms/weapons, and a sense of competency in handling your own firearm. In this course, your instructor will review with you all the required forms, you will get two passport photos (required), you’ll receive your official Training Certificate (upon completion), you’ll get a directory of local agencies offering fingerprinting services, and a course packet with many other useful resources.

After completing Shoot Straights CWFL Course, and receiving your Florida Concealed Weapon License, you will be legally allowed to carry a firearm in over 30 states that have reciprocity agreements with the State of Florida. THIS CLASS, TAUGHT BY OUR NRA CERTIFIED INSTRUCTORS, FULFILLS THE REQUIREMENT OF A FIREARM SAFETY CLASS TO OBTAIN A FLORIDA CONCEALED WEAPONS PERMIT. THE COURSE INCLUDES CLASSROOM TIME DEDICATED TO RESPONSIBLE AND SAFE FIREARM OWNERSHIP, BASICS OF HANDGUN TYPES, FUNCTION, AND PARTS, FUNDAMENTALS OF MARKSMANSHIP, AND REVIEWING THE PERTINENT FLORIDA STATUTES RELATED TO CARRYING A CONCEALED FIREARM.

THE COURSE IS WELCOME TO ALL SKILL LEVELS, EVEN THOSE WHO HAVE NEVER SHOT A GUN BEFORE. DURING THE CLASSROOM SESSION, THERE IS HANDS ON TRAINING WITH THE VARIOUS HANDGUN TYPES AND PRACTICE OF SHOOTING FUNDAMENTALS WITH INERT DEMONSTRATION GUNS. FOLLOWING THE CLASSROOM SESSION, STUDENTS WILL PROCEED TO THE RANGE FOR A LIVE FIRE QUALIFICATION ON OUR STATE OF THE ART NEXUS LANES TO DEMONSTRATE BASIC PROFICIENCY. UPON SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF THE CLASS, THE STUDENT WILL BE GIVEN A CERTIFICATE WHICH MUST BE SUBMITTED WITH THE APPLICATION. AN INFORMATIONAL PACKET EXPLAINING THE APPLICATION PROCESS IS PROVIDED WHICH WILL HELP STUDENTS OBTAIN THEIR LICENSE EXPEDITIOUSLY IN A MATTER OF WEEKS.
