Our cost for firearm training is $50.00. Training includes access to all of our rental firearms, unlimited range time, and personal one on one instruction for at least an hour. Ammo and targets are charged separately. If you are looking to purchase a firearm but are new to shooting, we have you covered. Purchase of a firearm from Oak Ridge Gun Range includes unlimited firearm training at no extra cost! We won't let you leave our store until you feel 100% comfortable with the firearms you've purchased.

Description:
The Nevada CCW Course consists of a full day of classroom and range instruction for individuals desiring to legally carry a concealed firearm. Upon successful completion of the course, students will have met the Nevada Sheriff and Chief’s Association CCW Training requirements.
Students are expected to be familiar with the basic operation of their firearm including performing manipulation skills such as loading, unloading, and making the firearm safe as well as the ability to demonstrate basic marksmanship skills.

The Security D Course is a 40 hour training class that will teach students the basic principles of security including; physical security, access control, terrorism awareness and emergency procedures. Skill development shall include report writing, interviewing techniques, and crime and accident prevention. The State of Florida requires this security-training course to be taught at licensed security school. Every Student that takes a course with Rieg’s Security will be given a loyalty rewards card that will give the student access to 10% off of any security supplies, including holsters, duty belts, batons, etc.

Florida Firearms Academy’s Basic Pistol Class is the Foundation of handgun training. This class is intended for those who have limited to no experience with firearms, or those who want to invest in their time and focus on building fundamentals. We will spend time in the classroom, covering Firearms Safety, Range Safety, Gun Anatomy and Operation, Handgun Fundamentals, Loading and Unloading, and then spend an hour on the range. We encourage our students to fire about 50-100 rounds at this level. We will provide safety equipment, targets, rental firearms, and waive your range fee. Ammunition costs is from $8-$30 per box of 50 rounds and depends on caliber. This class is taught by a NRA Certified Instructors with Florida Firearms Academy’s Curriculum. You may use a certificate of this class as proof of completion of a firearms safety class to apply for your Florida Concealed Weapons and Firearms License; although, we highly recommend that you attend our Concealed Weapon Permit (CWP) Course before you carry a gun.

Shoot Straight offers a “Basic Firearms Safety & Tactics” class every other Tuesday evening, at select locations. Call ahead to confirm specific course dates at your local store. Whether you’re new to handguns, or an experienced gun owner, this class is for you! The instructors are full-time law enforcement professionals, who will help you learn the proper fundamentals, and develop your skills step-by-step. The class is conducted in a safe and friendly environment, with a small group of participants. The classroom portion of this three-hour course, will review safety, marksmanship, malfunctions, maintenance, and shooting fundamentals. The range portion covers bulls-eye drills, malfunction drills, point shooting, and practical shooting. Participants will have free use of Shoot Straight’s modern indoor range during the training session. No previous firearms experience is needed, and you do not have to own a handgun.
