We are hosting another Glock Sport Shooting Foundation 3-match series. The dates are June 22, July 13 and August 17, 2019. Each match will be held from 10a-2p. Membership in the GSSF is required, and can be completed online or in the store. The cost to shoot is $20 per entry. There will be prizes up for grabs. Anyone who shoots in two of the three matches is entered into a drawing for a FREE GLOCK PISTOL. There is no appointment necessary to shoot.

NRA Action Pistol is open to all individuals who are interested in “Action” courses of fire, which combine speed and accuracy while shooting at multiple targets of steel and cardboard/ paper.
Action Pistol is a dynamic discipline within the “Action Pistol” shooting sports. It is a combination of speed and accuracy, weighing more on the accuracy aspect, with speed still playing a major factor in your ability to put up a good score. All shots are fired static (no
moving while firing) from a set distance and all the courses of fire are run on par times where all shots must be fired within the set par time i.e. 6 shots in 5 seconds, if you fire a shot after the designated 5 second par time has elapsed, you are penalized. This combination is what makes Action Pistol such a fun, challenging and exciting discipline. Being able to draw a pistol from holster, fire 6 rounds in 5 seconds into a paper plate sized scoring area, is a lot of fun and very challenging. An introduction to official rules, necessary equipment, etiquette, and camaraderie of sanctioned matches—USPSA, Falling Steel, Steel Challenge and 3-gun competitions. Class time and practice will be held on the range.
Minimum class size=5. Maximum class size=20.

Must have:

Functioning pistol with a holster that works with that pistol and covers the trigger. (Rules for drawing from the holster will be covered.)
• Minimum 100 rounds of ammunition for your firearm. (Remember-no steel or bi-metal projectiles!)
• Eye and ear protection. Proper clothing—no open-toed shoes or tank tops.
Optional equipment:
• Those students wishing to participate in 3-gun orientation will need the following:
• Rifle--.223 with 50 rounds (No steel core or bi-metal ammo)
• Shotgun—with 50 rounds (A limited number of shotguns are available for rental in the office for those with concealed carry permits.)

The Centennial Gun Club Training Center offers a variety of course topics specifically designed for kids and teens. Whether we are teaching them about personal safety, instilling basic shooting skills or preparing them for competition, we recognize that we can play a significant role in developing future generations of responsible gun owners and shooting enthusiasts.

Children are curious – that is a fact. Most children, especially younger ones do not have the self-discipline to always follow your instructions. Therefore, we believe that you not only must educate them about the safety issues, but about guns themselves, along with how they work and safe handling.

Guns and children is a subject you cannot avoid or postpone. It is critical for your child to know what to do if he or she encounters a gun anywhere, and it is your responsibility, as concerned parents to provide that training.

Come and spend the morning with our training team learning about firearms, basic shooting skills, having fun with our simulator games, live fire on the range and lunch sponsored by The Centennial Gun Club.
