USPSA ( United States Practical Shooting Association) is a pistol shooting sport best described as a blend of action, speed and accuracy shooting. There are multiple divisions in this sport which creates a level playing field in terms of equipment, shooting ability and experience. If you're brand new to competition or a master level shooter theres something for everyone. Shooters can compete with a variety of pistols or pistol caliber carbines in calibers of 9mm or larger. The sport consists of shooting multiple stages of various targets while being timed, this usually involves moving from one shooting postion to multiple others per stage.

Description:

In a nutshell, it is a competitive program designed to provide shooters with scenarios that mimic real life situations. The purpose of B&D’s Action Shoot event is to allow shooters to gain experience in practical gun range courses with props constructed to imitate an array of every day situations that require the shooter to fire his or her gun in virtual self defense.

As an indoor range B&D has some obvious limitations in regard to Action Shooting, but we think we offer a nice variety under the circumstances. And we have members that are dedicated to coming up with different shooting course situations to keep shooters interested.

There is no special equipment required. A participant would need only a gun, holster, ammunition and eye/ear protection.
