Urban Rifle I, II, and III is a dynamic approach in how to employ a rifle to better protect yourself, your family, and your property. This class is designed to cement a solid foundation in mindset, how your rifle functions, necessary accessories, picking the right battle sight zero for your rifle, and correct zeroing procedures. These courses focus on mentoring you on how to aggressively utilize a rifle in a critical incident, reloads, position shooting at different distances, low light, transitioning from rifle to handgun, bilateral movement, and malfunction clearing.

This intermediate course will focus on both the physiology, as well as, the mechanics of operating a handgun under adverse light conditions. This skill is of paramount importance given estimates as high as 75% of potentially lethal law enforcement engagements occur in less than ideal lighting conditions. Training will begin in the classroom with a thorough overview of how human vision works under adverse light as well as the fundamental mechanics of handgun manipulation when illumination devices are mandatory. Students will then transition to the range for the practical application of those skills demonstrated and articulated in the class room. Ultimately, this class will provide the student with those rudimentary skill necessary to shoot accurately when it is necessary to manipulate both a firearms and an illumination device. It will also prepare the student to transition seamlessly into Low Light Handgun Manipulations 2.

A handheld light at a minimum, however weapons mounted lights may be used as secondary lights
An appropriate holster designed for the weapon/weapons light system capable of being re-holstered single handedly

This course is meant to develop an understanding of the dire situations one can be placed in when confronted with physical assault. It is meant to not only bring awareness to the realities of personal assaults, but also develop a mindset and skills needed to confront such a situation head on. Not only do we discuss and work through the physicality of these situations, but we also delve into the psychology inherent in these conflicts. Situations where one is grabbed by the neck, waist, or arm will be addressed, as well as what to do in fighting goes to the ground. Remember! The result you want is to disengage and flee from the situation while hopefully doing some damage and leaving some marks on the way out, not dominate and “win” a fight.

Stop the Bleed is a national awareness campaign organized by the Department of Homeland Security, in coordination with The American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma, The American College of Emergency Physicians, The National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians, The Committee on Tactical Combat Casualty Care. Stop the Bleed is intended to cultivate grassroots efforts that encourage bystandards to become trained, equiped, and empowered to help a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives.

The course is two hours long there are no prerequisites for taking this course.
