Description:
Stop the Bleed is a national awareness campaign organized by the Department of Homeland Security, in coordination with The American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma, The American College of Emergency Physicians, The National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians, The Committee on Tactical Combat Casualty Care. Stop the Bleed is intended to cultivate grassroots efforts that encourage bystandards to become trained, equiped, and empowered to help a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives.
The course is two hours long there are no prerequisites for taking this course.
After taking this course you will be able to:
-Identify the three types of bleeding.
-Apply pressure.
-Apply pressure bandage.
-Apply a tourniquet.
