Description:
If you’ve been thinking about getting your concealed weapon permit, this is the place to start. We’ll explain the application process step by step and begin your CCW training. You’ll learn firearm safety, tactics, and techniques. We’ll review the laws regarding the use of lethal force, as well as other related laws and sheriff’s department policies. This course includes live fire of your handgun.
There’s no need to pre-register for this class. Just show up Tuesday 15 to 20 minutes before the start time to check in. Check in 30 minutes prior for Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday classes, bring all firearms you’re planning to include on your CCW, as well as ammo to shoot 50 rounds. Firearms may be left at home for the Tuesday classroom portion of the two-day course. Ammo may also be purchased from The Range.

This course is specifically designed for women and is taught by a woman. The class starts with basic firearm safety, progresses through ccw information and ends in actual shooting on the indoor range. This class also satisfies the requirements needed to obtain your CCW license.
Space is limited, so please call Police Science Institute at 276-9800 to pre-register!! Please arrive about 20 minutes early.
