Description:
If you’ve been thinking about getting your concealed weapon permit, this is the place to start. We’ll explain the application process step by step and begin your CCW training. You’ll learn firearm safety, tactics, and techniques. We’ll review the laws regarding the use of lethal force, as well as other related laws and sheriff’s department policies. This course includes live fire of your handgun.
There’s no need to pre-register for this class. Just show up Tuesday 15 to 20 minutes before the start time to check in. Check in 30 minutes prior for Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday classes, bring all firearms you’re planning to include on your CCW, as well as ammo to shoot 50 rounds. Firearms may be left at home for the Tuesday classroom portion of the two-day course. Ammo may also be purchased from The Range.

The Range hosts monthly matches for the International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) on the second Friday night of each month. IDPA participants use practical handgun equipment in simulated scenarios. Matches include either self-defense scenarios or standard exercises. The self-defense scenarios simulate “real-world” confrontations and typically require shots from three to 20 yards from different firing points. Standard exercises don’t simulate potential threat situations, but instead test specific shooting and gun handling skills. IDPA matches are a fun and safe way to learn defensive pistol skills and sharpen your abilities.

In 1994, The Range Pistol Club was established as Central California’s premier indoor firearm range and full-service retail showroom. Our state-of-the-art, climate-controlled facility is considered one of the top indoor ranges in the country. The Range also serves the needs of local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies and individuals through our courses and classroom facilities.
