Our Home Defense course has been revamped! This course teaches you how to secure your home, defend your family, and navigate the aftermath. The practical portion of this class will be held in our new sim shoot house, so you may experience realistic, shoot/no-shoot scenarios.

Topics Covered:

In depth look at Washington State laws and how they apply to you and your family
Defining home defense ideas to better secure your home from break-ins and home invasions
Designating a “safe room” and the tools you want on-hand
Securing firearms in your house / kids around firearms
Cover vs. concealment and how to use it
Shoot/no-shoot scenario-based training
Navigating the legal, psychological, and physiological aftermath of a defensive situation
Basic principles of maneuver in a structure
Clearing rooms, hallways, and other common interior geometry

Course Requirements:

Participants must be US Citizens or an Immigrant green card holder, no exceptions
***IMPORTANT: DUE TO THE SUBJECT MATTER TAUGHT IN THIS CLASS, BELLEVUE GUN CLUB CANNOT PROVIDE ANY TRAINING OR ASSISTANCE IN TRAINING TO FOREIGN NATIONALS DUE TO INFORMATION FROM THE U.S. GOVERNMENT (U.S. DEPARTMENT OF STATE, ITAR) REGARDING REGULATIONS PERTINENT TO FOREIGN CITIZENS AND ARMS TRAINING***
All participants must be 13 years of age or older. Anyone younger than 18 must have a legal guardian register for the class with them
A positive attitude that is conducive to the learning environment
All participants must be able to speak and understand English fluently and without the assistance of a translator
