Description:
Not your ordinary CHL course. Our instructors are not only state certified, but also have former law enforcement and/or military background. In addition to the state mandated content instructors will also cover topics like: shoot / don’t shoot scenarios, situational awareness, speaking with police, and much more.
The classroom portion will begin at 9:00 am and finish at approximately 1pm-2pm.
For all courses please arrive 30 minutes prior for check in and safety brief. Please come with all necessary equipment and be prepared to start immediately. If you do not have required equipment when you arrive, you can observe the class from the firing line but you may not be able to participate in all shooting drills. Some equipment may be available for rental or purchase from our retail store, please call for details.

Please bring an unloaded handgun (.32 caliber minimum) to class with you in a handbag or appropriate range bag/case. It is recommended you bring 100 rounds of ammunition although 50 rounds are required. The extra 50 rounds are for contingencies. NO RELOADS ARE ALLOWED. Eye and ear protection as well as ammunition and handgun rentals are available at the range.

This 2-hour class teaches proper weapons handling, marksmanship skills and handling skills. It explains the need for continued training and education, proper dry fire training regimen, and regular live firearm training to maintain a very perishable skill.

Description:
The Tactical Shotgun Course teaches the shooter from basic to advanced skills. This class teaches proper weapons safety, handling/skills and proficiency in shotgun manipulation. We will move through this class in a simple to complex manner. Topics start with basic shooting fundamentals such as grip, stance and trigger control. Students are individually evaluated to demonstrate their ability of accuracy, and consistency. Within a short time, the student will be introduced to the application of shotgun in all its forms. We will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the shotgun. Some topics to be covered are: loading (combat and tactical) single/multiple shots, multiple targets, and select ammunition drills. We will also cover the use of specific use ammo from bird shot to slugs and buckshot. This is a fast-paced class with a lot of shooting.
Must have:
Any Shoulder fired (With stock) semi-auto shotgun or pump action, (12 or 20 gauge)
Dump pouch preferred, but not required (Large cargo pockets can be used)
Minimum ammunition 125 buckshot and 50 slug shells
Eye and Ear protection

Pre-programmed or custom-designed targeting sequences. Twenty, 25-yard shooting lanes that are rated for both and pistols and rifles…up to 50 BMG!
Holster draw and rapid fire are permitted after being cleared by an RSO or trainer for more advanced drills. We provide the resources to support productive training. Shooting benches can be removed from bays to allow for holster work or to allow easier shooting from a wheel chair.
Custom shooting stalls designed by Crossfire Defense Academy & Range will provide shooters with a level of percussion reducing comfort and safety that is unprecedented in the industry. Each stall is a full 6 feet deep with sound abating materials lining the walls and ceilings to ensure the safest and most comfortable indoor range ever built.

Targets move forward and back with the click if a button. The days of your neighbor’s percussion interrupting your shooting are a thing of the past. This training methodology is the very foundation on which Crossfi re Defense Academy & Range was built upon. It incorporates physical and emotional stress, critical thinking, strength, speed, agility and the ability to quickly switch between gross motor and fi ne motor activities. Daily classes led by former Navy Seal, Dan Licardo, will be an intense 30 minute cardio and strength circuit training course consisting of 5 exercise stations followed by a live fi re shooting evolution. Complete as many repetitions as possible in 90 seconds before moving on to the next evolution. The 6th progression will have students enter the Crossfi re Dynamics Range where an RSO (Range Safety Offi cer) will direct the student to the fi ring line. Here students will have 90 seconds to engage a target with 5 rounds. Each student will complete 3 rotations of both fi tness and shooting evolutions. As the shooter progresses in ability, the targeting sequence will become increasingly more diffi cult. A shooter can be presented with threat, no threat scenarios, low light situations, loading the magazine before engagement, managing introduced malfunctions, assembling the fi rearm before engaging... It is completely scalable to the shooters ability and easy to evaluate performance and measure improvement. With this program, you will learn the fi ne motor manipulation of operating a fi rearm while under physical and emotional stress. Best of all, there is very little time commitment required and just 15 rounds per class. It is unbelievably cost effective and more than that, it is just plain fun.
