Description:
The Academy at DFW Gun offers 2 convenient ways to complete the training requirements to receive a license to carry a concealed handgun from the Texas Department of Public Safety. We offer weekend classes, and evening class on Monday and Thursday nights. Upon successful completion of the class and submission of the application materials, the state will issue you a license as soon as 60 days, assuming there is no legal disqualification. Our CHL/LTC class package includes the following:
Training by a DPS certified instructor
Qualify in house on our DPS approved range (indoor, safe, clean, and climate controlled)
Application Preparation Assistance
Handgun (if none available by student) for use during range qualification
Safety glasses, and hearing protection for use during range qualification
Must have:
Handgun gun, 50 rounds of ammunition, safety glasses, and hearing protection for use during range qualification. It is no longer required to have your application packet before you begin class. If you do not have your Application Packet, we have them available.

Description:
A three hour classroom and range program designed as instruction to civilian defensive handgun shooting. The course emphasis is placed on safe gun handling fundamentals and includes pistol nomenclature and function, firearm safety, marksmanship, loading/unloading, malfunction clearing, speed reloads, reloading under duress and holster drawing.

Reliable, functional handgun; 100-200 rounds of jacketed ammunition; 2 magazines or speed loaders.
Optional: Hearing and eye protection, Belt holster (rigid) with sturdy belt.

Our staff at DFW Gun Range strives to provide a safe, clean, and user-friendly environment for our members, customers and students so that they will maximize their shooting and learning experiences.
To that end we maintain a modern 17 lane shooting range, a 2000 square foot training gymnasium, retail display space for guns, accessories, ammunition and related products, a comfortable lounge area with a big screen TV,four large classrooms with TV, video players, white boards,large lcd televisions for power point presentations, offices, restrooms and storage facilities.

Regular Membership
$175/year ($ $220/year for Family) and entitle you to reduced range fees and Member discounts on products and services.
Premium Membership
$350/year ($395/year for Family) and entitle you to free use of the range and Member level discounts on products and services.
Family Membership
Cover spouses and children under 21 living in the same home.
Corporate Membership
Available at $650 and entitles 8 members of the corporation to use the range for a fee of $7.99 per shooter. Premium Corporate Membership not available. Additional members can be added at $75 per addition.
