Description
For the student to be successful, they should possess basic knowledge of a handgun, and be able to load, unload and safely manipulate the handgun they use in the class. If not consider taking the 3 hour, HANDGUN 101 course, listed on our website.
This course is an approved handgun safety that meets the standard for applicants to be able to apply for a Handgun Carry Permit through the State of Tennessee. Successful completion of this course is one of the requirements to obtain a Tennessee Handgun Carry Permit.
Students are not required to own their own handgun. The Nashville Armory will furnish a semi-automatic handgun, at no charge, or the student may bring their own handgun.
All of our instructors are State of Tennessee and NRA certified and many have law enforcement background.
Must have:
Equipment Requirements: Handgun, eye and ear protection. (Training firearms are available free of charge for class use.)
Ammo Requirements: 50 rounds (Course fee does not cover ammunition costs.)
