This class is geared towards the individual that has little to no experience with shooting a handgun. We will provide you with a 22lr semi-automatic pistol, ear and eye protection, 22lr ammo and targets. This 4-hour course will welcome you into the world of the AR-15’s. Whether you have just purchased one or are looking to acquire more knowledge about your current AR-15, this class will be able to help. You will come out of this class with a much better understanding of your AR-15.

• Parts & terminology
• Disassembly & reassembly
• Zero your iron sights or optics with live fire exercise

Must have:

Students may bring any AR-15 style rifle or pistol in any caliber from .22LR, 5.56mm, .300 Blackout, 7.62×39, 9mm, .40S&W, or any other
• If you don’t have a rifle, you can rent one at our range counter
• Minimum of 60 rounds
• Must have eye and ear protection (Due to COVID-19 we will not be renting eye and ear protection)

Shotguns are one of the most widely used firearms. This four-hour class will go over the basics of using this firearm in a few different application. Starting in the classroom with the fundamentals and understanding of how to safely handle and manipulate this firearm, then moving into the range for live fire drills.

• Manipulation
• Basic marksmanship

Must have:

A pump action or semi-automatic shotgun with an 18” – 21” smooth bore barrel chambered in 12 or 20 gauge
• Must be able to fully operate all features of the shotgun used for training
• Must be capable of moderate exercise, lifting, bending, and kneeling
• At least 50 rounds of 00 buckshot for your shotgun

Must have eye and ear protection (Due to COVID-19 we will not be renting eye and ear protection)

NSSF 2nd Shots is the follow up course to NSSF 1st Shots. This course is conduced on the range with a short safety briefing in the classroom. Going over the fundamentals that were taught in the first class as a refresher course, then immediately on to the range to keep practicing. We will focus more on maintaining proper grip, stance, sight picture and trigger control. Working on areas that you might be having trouble with to ensure you develop solid muscle memory and furthering your confidence and skills.

This is a 1 1/2 hour class. The first 30 min will be spend in the classroom reviewing fundamental. The remaining hour will be spent on the range working on those same fundamentals.

• Supervised range time with qualified instructor
• Working on fundamentals of safe shooting
• Becoming more comfortable and confident with a firearm
• Maximum 5 students per class

Must have:

Completion of NSSF 1st Shots or similar course
• Bring your own firearm, or rent at our range counter
• Ammo available at range counter

This class will explain what your body will do automatically because of extreme stress. Due to this automatic response, many of your fine motor skills needed for accurate fire are difficult if not impossible to employ. Reactive Point Shooting is a technique that when performed correctly allows combat accuracy through muscle memory without the use of traditional sighted fire. This class will present and practice the knowledge, skills, and abilities to utilize Reactive Point Shooting as an effective shooting technique.

• Why Reactive Point Shooting
• Technique
• Live fire drills to build muscle memory
• Final shots to determine accuracy range

Must have:

At least 2 magazines or 2 speed loaders are recommended.
• At least 150 rounds of ammunition for your firearm.

Target Shooting Solutions offers private lessons for individuals or small groups. Talk to one of our certified instructors about your specific learning objectives. Learn the basics, learn to operate a new gun, improve your marksmanship – you decide. Our certified instructors will work with you no matter your skill and experience level.

Private lessons are approximately 1 to 2 hours of direct instruction. If you would like to use your personal firearm, please ensure your firearm is unloaded prior to the lesson and that your ammunition is the correct type.

Targets and eye/ear protection are provided with the lesson if you do not have your own. Firearm rentals and ammunition are available but are not included in the price and will be an additional fee. Lessons are offered Monday through Friday (unless there is an event taking place) and need to be booked in advance. To reserve a time, please contact the range and we will be happy to make the appointment for you. Please note that if you are 15 minutes late, your lesson will be canceled.
