Must have:

Comfortable clothing with belt used for concealed carry
Your concealed carry pistol and concealed holster (IWB or OWB)
Training knife if you own one (not required)
OWB holster for role-playing scenarios.

Description:

The Level I Carbine course is designed to significantly increase the skill level and confidence of novice shooters using a semi-automatic AR-15 type rifle or carbine. This 8 hr course is excellent for someone who wants to learn the basics of rifle safety and marksmanship, with a small instructor to student ratio. It's also a good choice for those who want an analysis of their shooting form and a "tune-up" in order to move on to the 2-day Tactical Courses. Students learn how to accurately engage multiple targets at distances up to 100 yards from the prone, seated, kneeling, and standing positions, as well as diagnose and clear several common malfunctions.

Course includes: 8 hours of instruction and a certificate of completion.


Must have:

Ammo requirements: 400 rounds of rifle ammunition per person.

Individual equipment:

Carbine with 3 magazines
Knee and elbow pads (optional)
Weapon cleaning kit (with oil for carbine)
Rain or inclement weather gear
Eye and ear protection (clear and shaded lens are recommended)
Water/Snacks (1 hr lunch break)

Description:

Course Objective: The student will demonstrate a high level of tactical proficiency, and accuracy under increasing pressure with the semi-automatic pistol and AR-15 type carbine.

Sights, zeroing, external ballistics, slings, holster, equipment setup
Fundamentals of rifle and pistol marksmanship
Reloading & malfunction drills
Multiple Shooting positions
Multiple shots / transitions between multiple targets

Set-up and Shooting on the move
Shooting from barricades & covered positions


Must have:

Ammo requirements (Student Furnished): 800 rounds of pistol ammunition, 650 rounds of rifle ammunition.
Individual equipment (Student Furnished):

Pistol with 5 magazines / Carbine with 5 magazines
Belt with holster and magazine pouches
Magazine holder for the carbine/rifle.

Taught by a former U.S. Army Ranger Sniper and Senior Instructor for the Army Marksmanship Instructor Training Group, this course Is designed for hunters, mid/long range competitors, and anyone interested in establishing a fundamental base of technical and operational knowledge expertise in long range rifle shooting.
