Description:
This class is for the individual who has an AR-15 type of carbine rifle and wants to learn how to safely handle and shoot it. It is packed with information designed to make the new carbine owner confident in his handling skills as well as provide him with a solid foundation of rifle shooting fundamentals. You will learn about the rifle nomenclature, basic zeroing procedures, handling skills, and cleaning the rifle. The student will also learn how to disassemble and re-assemble the rifle. Drills will include different shooting positions, reloading, and malfunctions. The class will give the rifle owner the formal training he needs to confidently use the carbine. Course requirements include at least two magazines, a sling, and 3 snap caps for safe loading and unloading drills.
We have a gas operated .22 caliber conversion kit available for use during most drills in lieu of the service ammunition. The conversion kit will work in all AR type, .223 caliber, semi-automatic carbines. The conversion kit can be rented for $25. Using the conversion kit considerably reduces the overall ammunition costs for this class.
Must have:
350 Rounds
If using the Conversion Kit: 100 Rounds of .223 caliber
250 Rounds of .22 LR
