This one-day USCCA course teaches ladies how to safely use a handgun. This course covers the importance of being aware of your surroundings (“situational awareness”), introduces defensive firearms concepts, and covers the legal and ethical aspects of carrying and using a firearm in defense of yourself and/or others. This course is limited to eight ladies and is led by a female instructor. The completion of this course qualifies students for the Enhanced Endorsement to the Mississippi Firearms Permit.

Description:
Defensive Shooting Fundamentals Level 1 (DSF-L1) is a collaboration between Rob Pincus and the United States Concealed Carry Association. The course uses intuitive teaching methods designed to provide you with efficient training for the most probable types of self-defense situations. This blended learning curriculum includes the DSF-L1 online eLearning module, the DSF-L1 book, and a full day of live-fire exercises on the range. Upon registration, the student will receive information on how to obtain access to the eLearning module and will be shipped the DSF-L1 book. The student can then complete the eLearning at home and at their own pace prior to the live-fire exercises. Please note: This course DOES NOT qualify for the MS Enhanced Permit endorsement.
