This course of Instruction is in the Art of Gun fighting. Designed as a follow up to the Basic Self Defense pistol course.
Your Instructor: Local Law Enforcement Agent with over 26 years of professional firearms experience, including SWAT, High risk entries, and close quarter engagements, also a NRA certified instructor in Pistol and Rifle. Upon arrival at The Gun Range San Diego you will be treated with the utmost respect in a friendly, supportive, and caring manner – by the best trained, most consistent, and most effective staff in the industry. No egos, no boot-camp mentality, just quiet professionals that can train you very quickly to be very effective with a firearm.
You will receive approximately Two to three hours of individual instruction.
Including the following;
Lecture/Dry-Fire Hand’s on Topics: Proper holster draw and presentation, Failure Drills and Malfunction clearing. Immediate action and Tactical reloads.
Cost: $200 for one, $350 for couple *Limited to 2 Students*
Must have:
Firearm, 150 rounds of ammo, three targets, hearing and eye protection (per student) or
Bring your own pistol (semi-auto) and 2 magazines minimum. Holster and Magazine pouch.
The weapon must be fully functional, have all factory-installed safety devices intact, and have no dangerous modifications (such as a “hair” triggers less than 4 pounds, removed trigger guard, etc.)

Difference of Handguns available on the market including, Firearm Operating systems, nomenclature, Stance, Proper Grip, Eye dominance, Sight Alignment, Sight Picture, Trigger manipulation and Control, loading , reloading and unloading,
Approximately 40-60 minutes Live-Fire Range Drills Include:
We will put all of the above principles to use, In addition to instruction in, engaging targets with speed and accuracy from close quarters out to 15 yards. Firing 150 Rounds. Approximately 90 minutes.

Firearm, 150 rounds of ammo, three targets, hearing and eye protection (per student) or Bring your own pistol (semi-auto) and 2 magazines minimum. ♣ The weapon must be fully functional, have all factory-installed safety devices intact, and have no dangerous modifications (such as a “hair” triggers less than 4 pounds, removed trigger guard, etc.) ♣ “Pocket Pistols” / derringers are not allowed due to their very small size and difficulty of use. ♣ Wrap around impact resistant eye protection, preferably clear lenses(available on loan at the range), or prescription glasses are acceptable. ♣ High neckline shirt,(low neckline shirts tend to catch HOT brass & funnel it onto the skin.) ♣ 150 rounds of range supplied ammunition are included in the price of tuition. (No other ammunition allowed, unless you are using a personal firearm)

What you ultimately end up spending will depend on what you bring with you, and how much you want to shoot. If you have your own firearms, ammo, safety gear, and targets, you will only need to rent a lane. However, the majority of our customers rent firearms and eye/ear protection from us, and buy our targets and ammunition, so the total price will vary.
Here is a quick breakdown of our prices:
Lane rental: $14 for one shooter, $12 for each additional shooter (Active Duty Military, Law Enforcement and First Responders are only $10/shooter)
Firearms: $10 for Basic Rentals, $15-25 for Exotic Rentals*
Ammunition: This varies, but the most popular ammo we sell is 9mm, which starts at $17.99 per package of 50 rounds**
Eye/ear protection: $1 each
Targets: $1 each
Overall, while the total cost varies quite a bit, most customers spend approximately $40 for a trip to the range, so a trip to the range is actually very affordable!
*Note: you must have at least one other shooter in your group in order to rent firearms!
