The Matanuska Valley Sportsmen, Inc. is dedicated to firearms safety education as a public service, marksmanship training as a contribution to individual preparedness for personal and National defense, and the sports of shooting and hunting as a wholesome form of recreation.
The Matanuska Valley Sportsmen, Inc. is a member of the Alaska Outdoor Council that advises local and state policy makers on regulations of interest to members such as hunting, fishing, trapping, boating, and other outdoor recreation.
In applying for membership in the Matanuska Valley Sportsmen, Inc. I pledge to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America, promote and practice safe use of firearms, respect the rights of others, and wisely use the natural resources of Alaska.
