Description:
This class is the introduction to long range shooting fundamentals. Topics covered will include fundamentals for firing from the prone position, brief overview of ballistics and environmental effects and the operations of the precision rifle system. Primary focus will be the fundamentals of shooting long range and building a D.O.P.E. (data of previous engagement) card for your rifle out to 1000yds. 6hrs (3 classroom and 3 range).

Long range rifle capable of shooting LESS THEN 1” groups at 100 yards recommend 6.5 Creedmoor, .300 Win, 6.5prc, 260 Remington or similar calibers quality high power rifle scope with UNCAPPED adjustable turrets (not the traditional covered hunting scope adjustment turrets) Preferably with horus/Xmas tree style reticle quality precision rifle ammunition (not hunting ammo) 150-200rds
Bipods
Cheek riser/adjustable stock
Shooting mat with bipod loading straps (straps sewn to the front of the mat in which the bipods can be pressed into while firing)
Hearing protection and eye protection
Note pad and paper
